Working on the nude requires one or more live models. The procedure of each session is agreed upon in outline but leaves room for improvisation.
The choice of medium is often intuitive. A drawing can stand alone as a drawing but can subsequently give rise to other forms of expression, such as an engraving, a painting, or a cut-out.
